Most guides on how to use the Usfans spreadsheet assume you have unlimited attention. The daily log method assumes you do not. Five minutes a day, one entry per day, twelve months of compounding discipline.
The daily log
Every day, open a note or spreadsheet. Log three things:
- Category browsed. One per day, cycled through the ten categories.
- Listing bookmarked. Zero or one — no more than one per day.
- Cart status. Whether you added, held, or dropped anything.
Why one listing per day
Bounded discovery beats unbounded scroll. One listing per day equals 30 candidates a month, which is more than enough to fill a parcel with items you actually thought about.

The Sunday review
Every Sunday, open the daily log and review the past week. Which listings still look strong today? Which lost their appeal? Apply the deliberate inspection method to survivors. Delete non-survivors from the log with no regret.
The monthly ship decision
Once a month, check warehouse weight against the sweet spot. Between 1.2 and 3 kg with 3 or more items — ship. Under — hold. See the weekly ship plan.
Why the log method works
- Constraint drives quality. One listing per day forces prioritization.
- Log builds memory. You will notice patterns in your own tastes after 30 entries.
- Sunday review acts as filter. Overnight cool-down is built in.
- Monthly ship prevents rush shipping. No urgency-driven bad parcels.
Total time per week
About 45 minutes: 35 minutes weekday logs, 10 minutes Sunday review.
